Privacy & GDPR

This page explains what information DiscVector collects, why it is needed, who can access it, where it is stored, and how you can take control of your own data. If anything is unclear, contact the site owner at joakim85@gmail.com.

What we store and why

DiscVector only stores data that is necessary to run the simulator and keep track of your personal disc collection and bags.

Account information

Your email address, user ID and authentication timestamps. This is required for sign-in, password resets and account security.

Throwing profile

Display name, dominant hand, throwing style, skill level, release speed, default release angle, age, height and country. These values are used to personalise flight simulations so the predicted paths match how you throw.

Your discs

Discs you add to your collection or wishlist: mold, plastic, custom name, colour, weight, condition, wear percentage and personal notes.

Your bags

Bag names, descriptions, active status and which of your discs are placed in each bag and in what order.

Saved simulations

Names, input parameters and results of flight simulations you choose to save for later.

Admin audit log

When an admin views, exports or deletes a user, we record the admin’s email, the action, the affected user and a short summary. This is required for GDPR accountability.

Who can see your data

You — You can view, edit and delete your own profile, discs, bags and saved simulations at any time.

Other users — No personal data is shared between users. Your collection, bags and profile are private to your account.

Site admin — The owner account (joakim85@gmail.com) can search for users, view a summary of stored data, export it as JSON, or permanently erase an account. Every one of these actions is recorded in the admin audit log.

Public catalog — The global disc catalog (manufacturers, molds, plastics and flight numbers) is public and not personal data.

Your rights and controls

  • Access — Visit your profile page and click “Export my data” to download a complete JSON copy of everything we store about you.
  • Correction — Edit your profile, collection and bags directly in the app at any time.
  • Erasure — In your profile, click “Delete my account” and type DELETE to permanently remove your account and all related data. This cannot be undone.
  • Objection / restriction — If you want to restrict processing or object to how data is handled, email joakim85@gmail.com.

Where data is stored

DiscVector is hosted on Lovable Cloud. Your account and personal data are stored in the backend database connected to the application. The app is served from the following domains:

  • discvector.lovable.app — the public production site
  • id-preview--52e3776b-aab2-4a0a-baab-1db6d8344c4f.lovable.app — preview deployments used during development and testing

All data is stored within the same Lovable Cloud backend regardless of which domain you use. Preview deployments may access the same database, so changes made there are reflected in the live app.

Cookies and analytics

DiscVector uses authentication cookies / tokens to keep you signed in. These are essential for the service and are not used for tracking or advertising. We do not use third-party analytics cookies.

Changes to this notice

This privacy notice may be updated as the app evolves. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
